Principal product designer and design engineer with 18 years of experience across enterprise SaaS, banking and fintech, analytics and AI products. I design AI-native products end to end: human-in-the-loop workflows, explainability and trust patterns, and agentic interfaces.

I write the spec, build the design system and ship the front end, using an AI-assisted design-to-delivery pipeline built around a typed intent model. I lead design teams through direction, review and mentoring.

Principal Product Designer

• Lead design across client and internal AI products with a team of 5 designers, alongside the Head of Design, CTO and engineering directors. Mentored 3 senior designers and helped hire 2.
• Created the intent model method: a typed model of actors, entities, journeys and rules that produces API schemas, validation, screens and prompts. It reduced 20 open questions to 1 in a 90-minute stakeholder session, and platform engineering is now building it into a company platform.
• Built the Intent Model Canvas, a collaborative app for reviewing requirements with multi-reviewer consensus and AI editing, and presented the method to about 120 people in a company-wide talk.
• Pioneered an AI-assisted method for building enterprise SaaS components in code without drift or revision rot, with commit-time checks across requirements, design system and code.
• Built a registry-first design system on shadcn used across a logistics product, an agent platform and internal tools, where one token file rethemes a product without code changes.

Principal Product Design Consultant

• Led product and experience design for a DeFi research platform with 5,000+ free users and about 500 paid subscribers, designing data-dense dashboards and money-flow visualisations across blockchain ecosystems.
• Directed a team of 2 designers and 4 engineers, and built the production front end in Angular.

Lead UX Designer

• Led design for the digital-twin practice, directing 3 senior designers, 2 junior designers and 2 3D designers across hardware, 3D modelling, Unity and front-end teams.
• Created a design process, modular design system and twin UI kit that cut twin build time from 16 weeks to 6, contributing to a 110% rise in new project signings across 8+ enterprise deployments.

Principal Consultant, Product Design

• Led research-driven design for Metro Bank's commercial banking platform, running interview rounds with relationship managers and cash managers and mapping workflows from setup to monitoring.
• Research-led information-architecture changes cut support calls 17%, and a redesigned onboarding and identity verification flow improved the decline rate by 21%.

Principal Architect, Product Design

• Built the UX, UI and design system for ila Bank's mobile banking app from scratch, leading a design team of 8.
• Ran six weeks of user interviews across Bahrain and designed Hassala, a goal-based savings product that took $6M in its first 10 days.
• The app won the Red Dot Award, Gartner Eye on Innovation and Transform MEA recognition, and held a 4.7 out of 5 rating with 60,000+ customers.
